Kundgrama
Vaishali is one of the most ancient and famous sites in India.It has been identified with the modern village of Basadh and its neighbouring in the district of Muzaffarpur in the state of Bihar.Due to its association with Buddha,Mahavira and Lichhavis and also later on with imperial Guptas,Vaishali has from the very beginning of Indian archeology attracted the attention of archeologists.
Vaishali or modern Basarh is a village in the north-west corner of Hajipur subdivision in the Vaishali district. It is situated 32 kms north west of Hajipur.It has been identified as the birth place of Mahavira ,the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism.

Vaishali figures prominently in Jain literatures.The Jains both Swetambars and Digambars state that Vardhamana Mahavira was the son of Siddhartha of Kundpura or Kundgrama ,a suburb of Vaishali.The location of Kundgrama is about 2 kms north-east of the Garh Mound.

- Ashokan Pillar
The lion pillar at Kolkua built by Emperor Ashoka.A life size figure of lion is placed on the top of the pillar.
- Bawan Pokhar Temple
It is said that some medieval images were discovered in the Bawan pokhar.
- Budha Stupa-II
Excavations at this site in 1958 led the discovery of another casket containing the ashes of Lord Buddha.
- Abhiskek Pushkarn
It is believed that before coronation the kings had to be first anointed with the sacred water of this holy tank.
- Kundalpur
- Raja Vishal ka Garh
A huge mound with a circumference of about one kilometre.It is said to be the ancient parliament house.
- Shanti Stupa
A world peace pagoda has been constructed by Japan.
- Chamukhi Mahadeva:
A recent excavation of four head lingam.
- Museum:
A museum houses archeological finds from nearby excavation sites.
